The MTS Plastic fuel tank is an excellent replacement option for the 1987-1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ, offering a robust 20-gallon capacity, as well as the 1991-1995 models, featuring a 15-gallon capacity. Designed specifically to replace the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) plastic style tanks, this tank is compatible with both fuel-injected and carbureted systems. It boasts a rectangular sending unit hole and an integrated fuel bowl for optimal functionality and efficiency. Included in the package are essential components such as a new rectangular sending unit gasket, eight bolts, and two upper straps complete with bolts, nuts, and split washers, ensuring a hassle-free installation. *This tank will not replace the 15-Gal. OEM metal style tank. To the best of our knowledge, this tank will directly replace domestic model tank #'s 52002633 & 52018287. This tank will NOT directly replace export model #'s 52018779, 52019226, 52007258, 52002622 or 52020522(Egypt). If the YJ has an export model tank, a new skid plate and sending unit are required and we recommend replacing the fuel filler and vent hoses. The hoses may need to be spliced and elongated as well.
