The MTS Plastic fuel tank designed for the 1955-1972 Jeep CJ5 and CJ6 models is an essential component for maintaining efficient fuel storage and delivery. This tank, specifically located under the driver's seat, features a robust design that includes a sending unit secured by six screws, ensuring a secure and leak-free operation.
It is equipped with an angled fuel filler neck that directs fuel towards the rear tire, facilitating ease of refueling. The tank's design includes a fuel pickup tube mounted on top, requiring the use of an in-line fuel filter for optimal performance.
Notably, this tank does not feature a drain plug, which users should consider during maintenance. Included with the tank is a new 6-hole sending unit gasket,
